What it fixes

Marketplace sessions get stale when the same inventory keeps coming back.

the same listings resurface every time you open Marketplace, even ones you've already reviewed and passed on

browsing sessions feel stale because there's no clear way to track where you left off

you spend time re-checking inventory you've already decided against, making it harder to spot genuinely new listings

How MarketClean helps

A cleaner feed that stays focused on what you have not already checked.

tracks listing IDs you've already viewed and hides them so only unseen inventory stays visible

Fresh-feed mode captures a baseline snapshot of the current feed and hides all of it so only new inventory appears from that point forward

Highlight New marks recently discovered listings with a badge instead of hiding older ones — useful when you want the full picture but need to spot what's actually new

all tracking is stored locally in your browser and continues to apply as more listings load while you scroll

What it doesn't do

MarketClean filters your feed — it doesn't touch your history on Facebook.

does not delete, report, or modify any listings on your behalf

does not affect your Facebook browsing history or activity log

does not interact with, click, or automate anything on your behalf

All filtering runs in your browser. We never send your keyword lists, listing titles, prices, or the URLs you browse.

FAQ

Seen listing questions buyers ask

Can MarketClean show only new listings?

Yes. MarketClean tracks the listing IDs of items you have already viewed and hides them from the feed so only unseen inventory stays visible. When you return to Facebook Marketplace after browsing earlier, the same listings that appeared before will not resurface — the extension remembers which ones you have already seen and filters them out automatically. This tracking is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's own storage and no data is sent to any server. The filter continues to apply as more listings load while you scroll, so hiding seen listings stays consistent throughout your session. If you want a more aggressive reset, Fresh-feed mode captures a baseline snapshot of all current listings and hides all of them at once, showing only newly posted inventory from that point forward. Highlight New mode offers a lighter alternative: it marks new listings with a badge instead of hiding older ones.

Does it work while I keep scrolling?

Yes. Filtering continues to apply as more listings load.

What is Fresh-feed mode and when should I use it?

Fresh-feed mode captures a snapshot of all listing IDs currently visible in your Facebook Marketplace feed the moment you enable it, then hides every listing from that snapshot. From that point forward, only inventory that was not present when you activated the mode will be shown. This is useful when you have already browsed a feed and want a clean slate without scrolling through listings you have already reviewed. Unlike the standard seen-listing filter — which builds up a record of individual cards you have clicked or scrolled past — Fresh-feed mode works by treating everything currently on screen as already seen, all at once. It is most effective when you open Marketplace after a break and want to see only what is genuinely new since your last visit. Disabling Fresh-feed mode restores the full feed. The snapshot is not permanent — enabling it again on a later visit captures a new baseline.

Can I highlight new listings instead of hiding seen ones?

Yes. The Highlight New option marks recently discovered listings with a badge rather than hiding older ones. This lets you scan the full feed while still spotting what's new at a glance.

Does MarketClean affect my Facebook browsing history?

No. MarketClean tracks which listing IDs you've viewed in its own local storage, separate from Facebook. It does not interact with your Facebook activity log or history in any way.
